Exporting
Broadlook Data to PCRecruiter Web Version
The Broadlook software allows users to export data directly
into PCRecruiter. When configuring the software to export data
into your PCRecruiter Web version account, two fields will
be required... the URL and the Database Name.
The URL:
The URL is the link to
the data handling utility on your PCRecruiter hosting server. If
you are using the Main Sequence Technologies ASP service, your
url will always be "http://pcrecruiter.net/pcrbin/xmlio.exe" If
you are hosting PCRecruiter internally or with a third-party
service, the url will be "http://YOUR_SERVERNAME/pcrbin/xmlio.exe"
The Database Name:
To determine the "Database Name", you'll need
to look at the URL that you use when logging into PCRecruiter.
Your web address will always end in "?uid=xxxx.profilename",
where "xxxx" is your database and "profilename" is your current
profile on the server (on the Main Sequence Technologies ASP, your
profile name will likely be your company name or something similar).
If
you are planning to use the "Default Database", your database
name will be in the form of "odbc.profilename".
If you wish to import to a database other than "Default Database",
your link would be something like "databasename.profilename".
So, for example, if the end of your PCRecruiter web link is "?uid=Master123.mycompany",
then your "Database Name" would be "Master123.mycompany", and
all imported records would go into your "Master123" database.
Finding Imported Records:
To locate records that have been imported with
Broadlook...
- Click the Name button in the main
menu
- Click "Advanced"
- Select "bl_import" as the first criteria
and leave the pulldown set to "Like"
- Enter "true" (without
the quotes) in the search term box and click "Add"
- Select "date
entered" as
your second criteria.
- Enter the desired date into
the input box and click "Add"
- Click search. The list
returned should be the candidates you've imported using Broadlook
on that date.
- The "bl_url" custom field on those records will contain
the url from which that Broadlook name record came
