How do I update
my SQL Server with the latest service pack?
- Download Service Pack 4 for SQL 7.0: Click
Here
- Save the file to your desktop
- Extract the file to the default directory (C:\70SP4)
- Open the folder C:\70SP4
- Double Click on the file "Setup.bat"
- The setup process will begin and you will see a screen like
below
- Make sure you select SQL Server authentication and enter the
password if there is one. If you are not sure what the password
is, leave it blank and click next.
Here are some of the screens that you will see:
- Click Next
- Select Mixed Mode.
- Enter and Confirm your password if you entered one at the SQL
Server authentication screen. If you did not enter a password
and left the field blank, click Blank Password.
- Click Next.
- Uncheck "View Readme" and click "Finish"
