AJB POSTING WIZARD INSTRUCTIONS

Setup for AJB Posting:

• An administrator must first enable AJB posting:
  1. Open SYSTEM >> (1) Console >> (1) Edit Database Names and Locations.
  2. Click "Go" for the selected database.
  3. At the bottom of the scrolling left side menu, select "Job Board List".
  4. Check off "America’s Job Bank" (If you do not see this option, contact your PCRecruiter representative.)
  5. Click Save
• Every user who will be sending jobs to the AJB.org site must be configured for posting to AJB by using the "Configure" link under the AJB 'Setup' column:
  1. The "Posting URL" is always ftp.ajb.org
  2. Contact your AJB Representative to have your account enabled for FTP upload - the username and password for uploading via FTP is not the same as your website login for ajb.org.
  3. Complete the Office Contact and Company Name fields. The rest of the fields are optional, but you must set the 'Contact Type' pulldown to match which completed fields you intend to use.

Adding Positions to the AJB FTP Postings Rollup List:

1. Place a checkmark in the 'Site' column for America's Job Bank.
2. Click Next to navigate to the AJB details.
3. Complete ALL fields in the AJB screen - the job will be rejected by America's Job Bank if the fields are not completed. It will also be rejected if the zipcode and city don't match, if the salary amount doesn't match the salary unit, if the "Number of Positions" field is null or zero, or if the job description is longer than 4000 characters. Please note that AJB.org does not accept formatting in job descriptions - your description will be stripped down to simple text format.
4. Click Save after entering the necessary data.
5. Click Post to place this job on the "AJB FTP Postings" Rollup list (automatically generated). The job will be sent to AJB.org when the next upload of the "AJB FTP Postings" Rollup is performed (see below).
6. Click Close to exit the PCRecruiter Posting Wizard.

Removing Positions from the AJB FTP Postings Rollup List:

1. Place a checkmark in the 'Site' column for America's Job Bank.
2. Click Next to navigate to the AJB details.
3. Click Remove to take this job off of the "AJB FTP Postings" Rollup list (automatically generated). The job will be removed from AJB.org when the next upload of the "AJB FTP Postings" Rollup is performed (see below).

Uploading the AJB FTP Postings Rollup List to AJB.org:

• America's Job Bank uses a bulk-upload process for posting jobs. The instructions above will add or remove jobs from the list to be batch-transferred, but the transfer step itself is separate. To complete the transfer:
  1. Click ROLLUPS in the main PCRecruiter menu.
  2. Select the Rollup list called "AJB FTP Postings" - it will be associated with the ADMIN username.
  3. Check the box for viewing 'REQUISITIONS' (or 'POSITIONS')
  4. Click OPEN ROLLUP
  5. When the list is open, click on the Utilities button.
  6. Click on the 'Post Positions to America's Job Bank' option. A new window will appear and will display the progress of the data transfer to AJB.org. Do not close this window until the transfer has completed. The data transfer may take a minute or more, depending on server traffic and the amount of data being uploaded.
  7. America's Job Bank runs the batch processing of jobs during the night - your changes should appear online the following day. An email confirmation with the details of the upload and any errors encountered will be sent to your contact email address as configured in your AJB.org account.
