This notes are, by default, locked. This bar indicates the current 'Locked' or 'Unlocked' status of the notes.
In order to edit previously entered notes for a record, you must unlock them. After the notes have been unlocked and edited, PC Recruiter will re-index the notes so that any changes are reflected by future searches.
After entering new notes for this record into the text entry area, clicking "Add New Text" will time/date stamp the new addition and add it to the older notes in the lower area.
Candidate 'Good to Better' Bar
This is a subjective rating system that can be used as a tie-breaker when several candidates are equally qualified for a position. If you are viewing search results, the value from this bar will appear as a string of asterisks. Note that the position of this slider will affect the values for the Experience, Education, and Marketability Ratings on the Keywords tab.

This button will allow you to select from a list of previously entered industry names/codes. This will make your searches more efficient, as all industry names wil be entered consistently, regardless of the user.

This dropdown menu will allow you to select from a list of code categories to add to the searchable keywords for this job. You will find a similar feature in the "Job Order" screen.
After choosing a category from the Code Menu, this area will display the selected code list. Clicking a code will add it to the Keyword List at the right. You will find a similar feature in the "Job Order" screen.

Experience/Education/Marketability Ratings
These pulldown menus will allow you to assign a number between 0 and 100 to this person for the corresponding category. Note that these values are linked to the Good to Better Bar on the Notes screen, and will be erased in place of that bar's position value when it is moved.
This menu feature interacts with the PCRecruiter web-based client. A setting of 'group 3' makes resumes visible to employers when used with the online scripts.
This screen provides fields for nine non-searchable profile notes. These can be used to get an idea of the candidates' skills, abilities, or any other information you deem useful. The first three (only) of these notes will appear as part of the user's Profile screen when viewing Name Search Results. (Note: The Profile window is shown in the screenshot above merely for the sake of example... you cannot actually view the user profile directly from this screen.)
This window displays all notes entered for this person, with the time and date of entry, and the User Name of the person who entered them. If you have reached the Notes screen from a Search Results screen, the terms you searched for will be highlighted in red.
This area can be used to rate (0-100 scale) the company subjectively... how good they are to work for, to deal with, etc. Note that the value of this box is linked to the Good to Better Bar on the Notes screen, and will be automatically changed to match the position of that slider if it is moved.
