Meet the Masters

Jason Morris
President/COO, EmployeeScreenIQ

Jason DavisJason Morris founded EmployeeScreenIQ, in 1999 and serves as Chief Operating Officer and President for the company. Morris' responsibilities include refining EmployeeScreenIQ's position as the pre-employment screening industry leader in best practices and FCRA compliance. He is also a licensed private investigator in the states of Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, Arizona and Nevada, and serves as an expert witness on the topics of background checks, employment screening and FCRA. He was previously included on Cleveland Crain's Business "40 Under 40 List" for innovation in the workplace and serves as a past board member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). Morris was the 2005-2006 co-chairman for the organization and continues to be active there. He has also lobbied on behalf of the screening industry and has consulted with officials from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the US Department of Justice. Morris is a criminal justice studies graduate of Kent State University.

Judy Walcott
VP of Projects and Outsourcing, WorldConcert

Judy WalcottWorldConcert operates at peak efficiency thanks to Judy Walcott. In addition to specializing in the design and implementation of recruitment processes, Judy manages project time frames for all outsourcing initiatives.

Combining clear-minded goals with a thorough grasp of detail, Ms. Walcott is credited with implementing and managing the impressive engagement of 900 new hires for a single WorldConcert client in one year.

Prior to joining WorldConcert, Judy managed the Global Account operations for MRINetwork and was responsible for several of the company's largest pharmaceutical projects. Judy received her B.A. from Wittenberg University.

Jim Halling
President, Workforce Insights

Jim HallingJim Halling is the founder and President of Workforce Insights, an advisory services group that supports organizations in developing and strengthening capabilities on the topics of workforce strategy, management and measurement. Jim advises senior business leaders on topics including: linkage between business strategy and workforce strategy, workforce planning and design, measuring and reporting the ROI on workforce activities, merger integration, developing / executing effective recruitment strategies and contingent workforce strategy. He combines unique perspectives on leveraging the use of workforce data with his broad business experience to assist clients in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve workforce efficiency and effectiveness.

Rob Mosley
Partner, Training and Development at Next Level Exchange

Rob MosleyRob is the Senior Director of Training and Development for Next Level Exchange. Rob comes to NLE from MRINetwork Corporate in Philadelphia, PA, where he served as the Chief Learning Officer, responsible for all training and sales development of 1,100 offices worldwide. Previously Rob was with the Acclivus Corporation, an international performance development company. He has facilitated the Acclivus curriculum on five continents and was part of the Acclivus team responsible for global relationships with companies as diverse as Dell Inc., Accenture, KPMG Consulting and Dun & Bradstreet.

Rob's knowledge of the search industry comes from 10 years with Merritt Hawkins and Associates, part of the MHA Group of Companies, the nation's leading provider of clinical healthcare staffing and consulting services. Rob served as Vice President of Training and Corporate Development. Rob holds master certifications in Consultative Selling, Performance Coaching, Advanced Sales Negotiation, Strategic Client Communication, and Major Account Planning & Strategy. He is a licensed facilitator for Stephen Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Rob is a keynote speaker and facilitator at continuing education seminars in the areas of Recruiting, Sales Execution and Performance Development. Past credits include the American Staffing Association, MRINetwork Global Conferences, the Executive Healthcare Conference, the Texas Hospital Association and the Medical Group Management Association. Rob holds a BA (cum laude) and JD from Baylor University.

Tino Langner
Director of Recruiting Technologies, WorldConcert

Tino LangnerTino Langner offers exceptional expertise in the rapidly evolving field of recruiting technologies. In addition to implementing advanced technological strategies for RPO projects involving 1,000's of new hires, he is equally skilled at adapting digital-age tools to identify a select number of remarkable candidates.

Karen Schmidt
Partner, Training and Development at Next Level Exchange

Karen SchmidtKaren Schmidt is a Partner with Kaye/Bassman International Corporation and is responsible for all K/BIC Training and Development. Karen graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Since joining Kaye/Bassman in 2001, she has specialized in the search and recruitment of professionals for clients in the Commercial Construction, Specialty Contractors, and Real Estate Development markets. She finished in the top five project staff in 2004 and 2005, and achieved the distinction of becoming a Pacesetter within the company.

In 2006, Karen pioneered the redevelopment of Kaye/Bassman's corporate training program. She is now exclusively responsible for the rookie training program as well as continued partner and associate development throughout the organization. This core training and development program applies to all associates at each stage of career progression, from the basic recruiting fundamentals, to effective marketing techniques, to more sophisticated curriculum for long-term development. From 2006 to 2008, the total cash-in for graduates of Kaye/Bassman's redeveloped training program is over $4 million.

On behalf of Next Level Exchange, Karen is a frequent consultant to search firm owners who have a greater vision of growth, hiring, and training. In 2010, Karen was recognized by the Dallas Business Journal's "40 Under Forty," a list of rising young leaders in the Dallas area.

Jack Downing
Managing Partner, WorldConcert

Jack DowningJack Downing has earned his reputation as one of the top recruiters in the industry with over 500 placements worldwide. A founding member of WorldBridge Partners, Jack opened his Chicago office in 1997, where he gained an in-depth understanding of the unique requirements of Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO).

Convinced that the most effective RPO requires an entirely specialized approach, he created WorldConcert to fulfill that vision and incorporates his highly personalized strategies for dynamic recruiting.

Jack earned his BA from Loras College and his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Orlando Jimenez

Orlando JimenezOrlando Jimenez is the Founder and President of MRI San Jose, Costa Rica, a recruitment solutions leader within the Food Industry, General Manufacturing, Banking, IT, and Telecommunications.

Orlando has more than 25 years of business experience in high level Marketing and Managerial Positions and has had a successful career as CEO of one of the biggest exporting companies of Costa Rica. Additionally, Orlando has held International Marketing jobs in Mexico and Europe, developing markets in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He also has great experience in the Central American market to include Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

Orlando has a Post Graduate Degree in Economics from the University of Manchester in the UK.

Karen Mattonen
Founder, HireCentrix

Karen MattonenKaren Mattonen is an experienced, successful recruiter who operates her own business and is actively involved in many industry organizations and activities. After a successful tenure as a recruiter with Snelling, Karen struck out on her own, founding Advanced Career Solutions (ACS). Karen has a new and future-oriented vision of what recruiting can and should become. Karen was a co-creator of the landmark webinar event – "EEOC Discrimination Debate." Shannon Myers
Managing Partner, Walton Search

Shannon MyersShannon Myers is the Managing Partner of Walton Search, a firm that specializes in Sourcing and Social Media solutions for recruiters and corporations. Shannon began as a recruiter in 2001 and has always been passionate about exploring innovative recruitment and sourcing methods. She has transitioned that passion from full cycle recruiting to specifically offering resources as a sourcer, consultant and trainer on the power of online tools include social media. It is her mastery of internet sourcing that led her to be a Grandmaster Sourcing Challenge winner for SourceCon2008. Shannon is a frequent speaker at industry events such as Fordyce Forum and SourceCon as well as local and regional business events.

Michael Long
Blogger, The Red Recruiter

Michael LongSince 2003, Michael Long has dedicated his career to talent acquisition. In that time, his areas of responsibility have included recruitment, management, training, strategy and employment branding in both corporate and agency environments. In 2008, Michael took a concentrated interest in the use of social media as it applies to the realm and launched his first blog, The Red Recruiter.

In 2010, Michael joined Rackspace Hosting in San Antonio, TX to head up global employment branding initiatives. Since becoming a "Racker," Michael launched RackerTalent.com and has brought together internal bloggers from five continents to share the authentic culture of the organization.

Michael is a graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in International Relations. He has lived multiple years abroad in both Guatemala and Argentina. In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, photography, and exploring the social web.
