A profitable, high-growth Medical Device company is expanding their commercial team in Latin America and is adding a Marketing Director. They develop innovative, first-in-class technology for the Diabetes market and have been growing between 5-15% each of the past six years. The Opportunity:

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for strategic planning and tactical execution of marketing plans across the Latin America region. You will work closely with country managers in sales and marketing to help them adapt global strategies for their local market conditions. Duties include market research, segmentation, product positioning, distribution strategies, pricing, branding and budgeting. Working with limited supervision, you will also lead the New Product Introduction process for the region, assuring clear communication and correct prioritization according to business needs. The Director will lead a small team of Product Managers and Customer Service Managers, including remote employees in Latin America.

In this high profile assignment you will also monitor the implementation of defined strategies, and analyze new market opportunities and competitive advantages in the various countries across the region. This is a broadly defined role that will include close coordination with internal personnel in tactical marketing, pipeline planning, field based reimbursement, sales and medical affairs. Your marketing plans will be customized based on product life cycles, market access differences across countries, product availability, available resources, and profit margin goals for each product line. The Director will present and defend proposals to committees across the region and monitor and report on financial performance of all products on a routine basis. Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
• 8+ years of marketing experience in the Medical Technology industry (Medical Device, Biotech, Diagnostics or Pharmaceuticals)
• 2+ years of downstream marketing experience specifically in Latin America
• Fluency in Spanish and English, and the ability to travel internationally
• A Bachelor’s Degree or better is required; an MBA or equivalent degree is preferred

The industry-leading compensation plan includes base salary plus incentive-plan bonus, restricted stock units and an expanded benefits package.

This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay area. Financial assistance is available for relocation support.
