Job Description

The Senior Records Operations Supervisor provides oversight of Records operations, running front desk operations and directly supervising a staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

Directly supervises intake of work, clarifying and recording clients’ instructions, delegating work to appropriate staff and managing resources to ensure deadlines are met.

Applies highly developed knowledge of records management workflow protocols and technology, analyzing work requests to determine the best approach for timely and cost-effective completion of projects and providing guidance to staff regarding same.

Completes all supervisory administrative tasks including, but not limited to, productivity reporting, updating the intake log, drafting performance management reviews, and responding to and implementing management directives.

Development and on-going up keep of records policies and training opportunities.

Provides coverage for off-hours and alternative shifts, if needed, and adapts to the changing needs of the department by assuming additional responsibilities if required.

Primary Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and accredited qualification in records management (or similar) desired.

At least 5 years knowledge and supervisory experience in a records management environment;

Strong program and change management skills. Experience implementing change programs across support and business line functions;

Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and policy requirements in plain language that will be comprehensible to staff at all levels;

High-level interpersonal skills, including strong influencing and persuading skills;

Strong analytical skills, able to develop and produce quality metrics and develop improvement plans based on the outcome of those metrics;

Expert proficiency in RIM software and strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
