Position Summary:

The Business Analyst Digital Web drives quality deliverables within large-scale enterprise digital projects. The BA Lead is responsible for gathering and documenting issues or defects found within tested digital/web applications.  This resource will directly support the Online Services Director and the Application Development team.


Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Configures test scripts/plans
  • Document results and compare against expected results
  • Document anomalies or issues based on previous digital knowledge/analytic ability
  • Maintain coherent software defects list for BAs to prioritize with developers
  • Interpret digital/web messaging
  • Investigate issues to a level that they require BA assistance
  • Provide application instructions for users within testing groups
  • Perform ad-hoc duties based on Business Analyst needs
  • Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications
  • Participate in application planning meetings
  • Ensure data integrity standards
  • Perform reviews, walkthroughs, or inspections as needed



Position Qualification Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • At least (4) years experience in user problem solving & information systems interaction
  • At least (2) years experience in digital/web implementations
  • Direct knowledge and experience with the following elements.
    • Oracle B2B
    • XML
    • Gentran and SOA environments
    • Message Types include 850, 855, 810, 997, 820, 835, 270/271, 180

Other Position Qualifications

In addition to the basic qualifications listed above, the following other position qualifications are required:

  • Enough confidence in the digital/web space, that one can come in and instantly add value to a project
  • Limited training is expected around our specific systems, beyond this type of introduction, the expectation is this resource would be able to become self sufficient in the BA role quickly
  • Ability to partner with internal key stakeholders to research, define and document business defects
  • Ability to build robust test case repositories
  • Ability to execute systems and integration testing to ensure quality of project deliverables prior to user acceptance
  • Ability to understand linking of use cases with test cases, documenting business process flows and reconciling test cases back to business requirements
  • Demonstrated communication and analytical skills
  • Experience with SDLC processes
  • Experience with MS Office applications, including Visio and Project

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the basic qualifications and other required qualifications listed above, the following preferred qualifications also exist:

  • Previous Healthcare industry experience
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database design
  • Experience with or understanding of project management methodologies
  • Experience with data mining, data presentation and application design working with technical staff
