A high growth Medical Device company is expanding its commercial team and needs a Group Manager of Analytics & Insights to lead a team of Analysts and Managers. This highly profitable organization has operations in over 100 countries and is adding new technology in the fields of cardiology and diabetes. They exceeded revenue expectations by 20% last year and are projected to do the same this year, so they are adding select positions in their commercial organization. Responsibilities:

The Group Manager will supervise a team responsible for strategic planning, secondary market research, financial modeling and sales planning for assigned products. Each direct report will be responsible for analytical support in an assigned customer channel: Healthcare Professionals, Hospitals, Payers, and Patients / Consumers. You will hire, train and develop team members who are responsible for commercial assessment of new initiatives and evaluation of marketing program effectiveness. The team will evaluate the ROI of promotional efforts and provide recommendations to optimize sales and marketing investments. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues from other departments, including brand marketing, sales planning, finance, forecasting and pricing.

You and your team will plan and execute analytics programs for in-line and development stage products, build segmentation and positioning strategies, develop forecasts, and assist in life-cycle planning for an entire franchise. A significant element of the job will be the evaluation of sales targets, sales force alignment, and account management deployment on a global basis. You will also establish metrics for the evaluation of marketing program effectiveness, and be responsible for monitoring and reporting competitive activity. This is a long-term strategic planning role that will have direct impact on the success of this high-growth organization. Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
• 8+ years of market planning, secondary data analytics, financial modeling, and commercial assessment experience in the medical technology, biotech or pharmaceutical industry, working either for a manufacturer or for a management consultancy.
• Advanced strategic and quantitative skills, including experience with market segmentation, forecasting, ROI, and product positioning.
• Experience working with prescription and insurance claims data sets from third-arty vendors (e.g. IMS, Symphony Health, Wolters Kluwer)
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred but not required, as is an MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

An attractive compensation package for this position includes a competitive base salary, annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and restricted stock units.

This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay); financial assistance for relocation support is provided.
