Obtain assigned bookings on aftermarket projects and services, act as principal customer interface, acquire skills and experience in various repair procedures, act as customer advocate and identify potential markets currently not being penetrated, for future sales growth.
BSME or equiv. 5 years work-related experience. Thorough technical knowledge of mechanical equipment design, operation, application, and maintenance within assigned territories, establish and/or strengthen customer contacts to secure budgeted sales volume on global service related products and services. Required tasks include selling, directing, analyzing and evaluating customer’s need and Elliott’s capabilities to meet those needs.
Kinds and types of knowledge...a thorough technical knowledge of mechanical equipment design, operate, application and maintenance. An engineer degree (BSME) or equivalent, 5 years work related experience or 10 years for senior level. The ability to translate technical knowledge and skills into salable ideas and proposals.
Special courses needed
Repair techniques and maintenance procedure updates useful...combustion turbines, large steam turbine prior experience.
A thorough commercial knowledge of assigned industries and overview of typical processes. Field sales, service representative, market or application experience in the same products and markets.
The ability to communicate quickly, clearly, forcefully and tactfully with customers. Strong interpersonal skills. Verbal and written communications skills. Promotional and selling skills to go after the close of business in both familiar and new markets. Ability to organize and manage territory in a motivated, self directed manner.
