Job Description

The Electronic Records Management (eRIM) Program Manager is responsible for assisting the Corporate RIM Manager and leading the implementation of electronic records policy, procedures, systems, technology, training, and information management consultation across the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads the development and implementation of the company's eRM strategy for all electronic media.

Provides technical advice/expertise on all eRM activities for systems/applications/databases & structured/unstructured data to appropriately manage the company's information assets. This includes media analysis, cloud storage, active/inactive information, disaster recovery, records repositories, retention schedules, etc. that impact the broader business.

Researches, evaluates, designs, tests, recommends and plans the implementation of new and/or improved information & document management systems.

Works with IT to evaluate, select, install & configure systems to comply with eRM standards and policies.

Troubleshoots, coordinates, & maintains production systems/programs/applications as needed.

Provides user support & coordinates resolution of issues to include change management, root cause analysis, & appropriate escalation as needed.

Develops functional specifications and coordinates the capture of process models & functional testing.

Leads development of project definitions, cost/benefit & risk analysis, work plans & presentations.

Develops and manages user acceptance criteria & assists in establishing end user training.

Researches, develops, negotiates, and implements RIM system detail with specific emphasis on electronic records, including assisting with implementing retention in electronic systems.

Develops & implements ILM processes with specific emphasis on content, document & information management processes & systems.

Leads eRM related activities for company acquisitions, divestitures, building closures, moves, etc.

Develops electronic file clean out processes to assist end users in eliminating information on personal drives, network drives, shared drives, collaborative systems, & other repositories that have met retention.

Leads or participates in the development & enhancement of corporate RIM policies/procedures/guidelines related to areas such as structured/unstructured data, email, instant messaging, physical records, retention, disposition processes, & compliance auditing.

Primary liaison between corporate RIM team and cyber security organization.

Gathers, develops, coordinates, & maintains business requirements for eRM projects &/or systems from initial phase to final implementation, assuring requirements meet standards.

Works closely with IT to support the retention requirements of all system applications scheduled for commissioning/decommissioning.

Stays abreast of IT and RIM technology trends, emerging technologies & available product/services.

Leads and assists other team members in completing & supporting tasks & projects.

Plans, manages and coordinates projects as needed with users and vendors for full lifecycle of projects.

Develops strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment.

Primary Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum of 5 years of information/records management experience required.

Certified Records Manager (CRM) or CRM Candidate preferred.

Experience in database use, Documentum's RMA System or records management software applications.

Experience in analyzing and implementing electronic records management solutions and related software applications.

Demonstrated experience using and implementing physical and electronic RIM systems and related software applications, including classification schemes.

Experience with disaster recovery/vital records; electronic records management; inactive records management including records centers; records/ document management systems; records management training; retention schedule development and management;

Understands and applies best practices which cover the life cycle concept for records.

Develops records retention schedules based on records management methodology.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Documentum, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat and PowerPoint.

Leads implementation of large scale organizational/enterprise information/records management solutions.

Sound project management and analytical skills with proven ability to creatively resolve issues

Ability to influence others

Ability to work effectively with all levels and build relationships with internal staff, customers and vendors

Excellent communication, both written and verbal

Good track record of being a team player. Ability to work cross-culturally.
