Job Description

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are currently seeking a Sales Manager of Strategic Accounts to join our Alliant Purchasing, LLC team.   This specialty GPO Company focuses on materials management and supply chain services to healthcare and non-healthcare organizations.  As a sales manager, you will thrive in a growing organization, work with industry experts and provide tremendous value to the clients you serve.

This is a remote position with significant travel.  Our preferred target region for this position is Illinois/Missouri as this is where the bulk of clients in this book of business is located.  However, we are very open to other areas including the South (FL, AL, GA, MS, NC), Midwest (IL, MO, IA, NE, KS, CO), or Northwest (OR, WA).

 

CORE DUTIES:
Proposal Management: Build new business in the assigned territory by promoting company’s materials management services and programs that drive sales results. 

Networking: Develop positive, productive relationships with leaders in healthcare and other industries to generate sales leads; participate in regional, state and national events.

Sales: Direct and implement strategic sales activities and account planning based on purchase plans and related objectives of prospects and clients. Must be able to influence key decision makers (C level) and present targeted solutions and strategies after in-depth analysis of their needs and objectives.

Client Service: Guide customers through the full implementation process to realize maximum savings and benefits. Coordinate team resources and services.


Preferred Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years of successful sales experience to the C-level
• 2+ years of GPO experience
• Strong conceptive and consultative sales representative with proven track history of achieving aggressive sales results.  90 day probationary period; $10 million in verifiable sales during next 12 months; $20 million after two years.
• Strong written proposal, presentation and negotiating skills.
• Technically proficient in MS Office applications.
• Self-starter with proven ability to be independently successful as well as a strong team player.
• Ability to travel around region with 2-3 overnights a week.  Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
