*Post Secondary Education--typically a bachelors or graduate degree in business or operations/engineering
*Supply chain expertise in a warehouse/distribution or 3PL facility servicing automotive customers at the management level.
*Manufacturing experience in any production process ie assembly, stamping, moulding, sequencing etc in a JIT operation.
*Knowledge and understanding of the steel marketplace in general.
*Min 10 years progressive experience in total-- with 2 or more years at an Operations Manager Level or higher.
*Reporting to the VP, the General Manager has overall responsibility for operational Profit and Loss for the division. with functional reports in finance, HR/EHS, IT, Shipping/Receiving, Operations and some sales/customer service exposure.
*Will work as part of a dynamic managemnt team to identify bottlenecks and resolve productivity issues within the manufacturing and supply chain from end to end.
*Close liason with Corporate Purchasing and SAP systems enhancement group.
*Drive Continuous Improvement efforts in a LEAN, 5S production system.
*Manage budgets for each dept and report results to Divisional VP.
