Our client is a growing automotive Tier 1.  They have several plants in North America and several more globally.  They have need of Corporate oversight for Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain activities to standardize operations for mistake proof performance and customer satisfaction.  This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference as this is a newly created position.

Director Supply Chain (Global Operations) Automotive Manufacturing

• Assess the effectiveness of the company's current ERP system

• Assist in assessing if company is using their ERP system properly

• Recommend procedural changes and/or maintain adherence to current procedures in company Material Management

• Assist in standardizing procedures across all global facilities

• Ensure all materials personnel corporate wide receive the appropriate training for their job functions

• Be project leader for getting barcode scanning functional corp wide

• Manage the change process and minimize obsolescence and SMI

• Assist the plants by maximizing their performance to customer delivery scorecard

• Minimize expedited freight corporate wide (both incoming and outgoing) by using stable materials planning techniques

  
  

• Job Requirements

• Post-secondary education or equivalent relevant training

• Experience in Automotive Materials Management and Logistics

• At least 10 years of experience in the Materials Management field

• Skilled user of Manufacturing ERP systems
