Our client manufactures and sells high quality environment-friendly powder coatings used in a variety of industrial applications, including metal furniture and fixtures, automotive components, agriculture and industrial machinery and tools, architectural aluminum extrusions, curtain walls and steel structures, appliances and electronics, sport and leisure equipment, shelving and store fixtures, lighting fixtures, MDF and metal cabinetry, glass and other industrial applications.
Customers include industrial OEMs and job coaters that apply powder coatings to their goods for corrosion protection and aesthetic appearance.

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative with a minimum of 1 years experience in the Powder or Paint Industry, or relevant experience covering the Alberta area. In this role you will be responsible for all sales activities in assigned territories and/or regions, manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery, plan and manage personal business portfolio, territory and business to an agreed market development strategy.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
. Adhere to health and safety policy and other requirements related to care of equipment
. Prepare 3 month rolling forecasts to aid in production planning;
. Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospects towards achieving agreed business aims, incl. costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity;
. Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims;
. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction;
. Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems;
. Plan, carry out and support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, i.e.: product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing;
. Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships;
. Respond to and follow up sales inquires using appropriate methods;
. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information;
. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development;
. Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills;
. Identify and resolve client concerns;
. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships;
. Continued personal education on sales strategies and company products.
Skills and Qualifications
. Degree in Business Administration or other related field a plus;
. Entry level or better background in business development, product marketing, account management, project management, and customer retention;
. Manage customers and projects to achieve sales targets;
. Enhance market growth. History of identifying and capturing market opportunities to accelerate expansion, increase revenues, and improve profit contributions;
. Develop and maintain effective business relationships with the Company's principle clients;
. Result-oriented, good interpersonal and problem solving skills with service-minded attitude;
. Dynamic, flexible team player with strong communication and negotiation skills;
. Well organized;
