McGuire Sponsel’s Credit & Incentives Practice has grown by an impressive 80%. As a result, we are adding a new Business Development Professional position as a key component to our continued success.

 

In this client facing role, you will be working with a team of experts who save our clients money and add dollars back to their bottom line. We work with growing businesses across the country to help them understand federal, state and local incentives that promote capital investments and job creation. Some examples of these opportunities occur when a business is relocating operations, expanding or downsizing, acquiring or merging with another business, purchasing equipment, adding jobs or considering facility options. 


As a Business Development Professional, you will actively participate in the market, engaging with potential clients and key influencers on a daily basis. You will play a critical role in cultivating and expanding a strong referral network that includes real estate brokers, lenders, developers, M&A attorneys, accountants, advisors, etc. You will work closely with practice leaders to identify and develop high value referral and client relationships as you build a solid pipeline of short-term and long-term opportunities.

We will train you on the ins and outs of Credits & Incentives. By year two, success can be measured by hitting $200K in new deals. Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, initiate and nurture high value referral relationships; generate new client relationships
• Collaborate with practice leaders in developing and executing market strategies
• Participate in firm and practice marketing initiatives
• Attend and participate in community and industry events including industrial, technology, real estate and other related industry events
• Be actively involved in our markets and network before and after hours as needed; territory is municipal areas in Indiana and Kentucky


Skills and Experience:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a B2B sales role with a proven track record of generating high value referral relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• A strong desire and aptitude for relationships building; must desire to spend time outside of an office environment, interacting with business leaders, government leaders and key influencers (60%+ of the time)
• Ability to work in fast-paced professional services environment
• A confident and competitive approach
