We are searching for a Customer Service Associate to join our client's team.

The role of the Customer Service Associate includes but is not limited to serving as the primary backup for any of the inside sales staff positions, responsible for some customer accounts, and handling whatever aspect of sales is needed. Occasional travel is required.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the position include:
  • Four year Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Able to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime
  • Handle all calls and requests for information in a professional manner while working accurately and timely in a deadline oriented environment
  • Coordinate with outside sales force, production, shipping, mill management and metallurgist to sell product and service customers
  • Coordinate mill scheduling of shipments with appropriate departments
  • Provide appropriate pricing and availability to customers on inquires
  • Provide timely status updates to customers
  • Enter customer orders timely and accurately with attention to details
  • Proven attendance record - dependable with good safety record
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Proactive, positive problem solver
  • Meticulous with details and known for accuracy
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and demonstrates customer excellence
  • Takes initiative and looks for ways to improve processes
  • Acclimates to change easily, deals well with the unexpected and is willing to perform any task that is required

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Flat rolled steel knowledge
