The Product Manager is responsible for review of technical and process engineering issues pertain to sales and project efforts for the RO/Membrane Filtration Products.
Duties and Responsibilities
Generates equipment scopes and commercial proposals and provide a coherent bid package for customer review.
Responsible for the review of project/application specifications, equipment requirements, equipment selections, costs estimates and the project schedules.
Assists sales, service and proposal engineering on technical and process related issues.
Specifies size and selects engineered systems and or equipment in accordance with customer supplied specifications and or performance requirements, always the aim to reduce cost of the product.
Generates equipment pricing from cost estimate, ensuring proper margins and commissions are included.
Maintains compliance with company required monetary level signoffs.
Defines and supports regulatory issue with sales or service projects.
Assists sales in interpreting plans ands specifications.
Understands project requirement from application point of view and guides proposals preparation accordingly.
Evaluates process engineering of given application point of view and guides proposals preparation accordingly.
Evaluates process engineering of given application to cost-optimization and suitability.
Attend technical review meetings with customer, engineering consultants and other stakeholders to defend process selection and equipment sizing.
Solid competence in process engineering, as applicable to Water Treatment and design of Reverse Osmosis systems is a must.
Expert level knowledge in valve engineering, generation alternate cost effective designs and technical sales.
Strong commercial acumen required to convert an opportunity into sales.
Understands and adheres to all company health ands safety procedures as the related to essential job functions.
The ability to communicate technically with management, sales client service engineers, vendors and clients.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Education and/or Experience
BS degree in Chemicall/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in Reverse Osmosis or Membrane Filtration Systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations.
EIT or PE a plus
