Summary of Position:
The Technical Sales Representative’s primary purpose is to service and expand the company agriculture business. The home office will be where the individual resides. The candidate would be charged with working with existing customer to target the use of core of the company products to expand current business as well as target new business opportunities.
Essential Job Functions:
Participate in creating additional volume by creating sales in field locations by providing solutions to customer initiative and building long term business relationships with key group and producers in their geography.
Obtain and evaluate external information of possible new markets and applications, dollar volume, pricing, and weigh the benefits, which can be offered to a customer.
Assist in the installation and of filtration make down equipment including initial start-ups, while providing support if application issues arise.
Understand the company product range with respect to the agriculture market, and technically position of the company products versus the competition. Attend trade shows, company sponsored customer training and promotions to grow volume and customer satisfaction.
Understand the global interfacing of the company products, applications, and functions
including patents, R&D, technical, logistics, sales and production and planning.
Follow up on all customer validations, needs, and orders, including delivery and quality issues, with sales, customer service, logistics and quality and R&D labs as necessary.
Provide feedback to the R&D Department or technical department of existing and potential customer requirements for new or existing products.
Implementation and integration of new business as well as new products where applicable into the sales organizations.
Understand the environmental legislation and trends relative to development of the agriculture market.
Explain to customers the impact of environment legislation as it relates to the company products.
