We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to staff a software development project in Northern Virginia, involving preparation and processing of large datasets and data management services on a shared Cloud computing environment.     

Required skills:

10+ Years of experience as a software system developer

 • Excellent skills developing enterprise systems including designing, integrating, coding, testing, deploying, and support software intensive systems.

 • 10+ years Java, javascript, Unix experience.

 • 2+ years Ruby experience

 • 5 years AJAX experience

 • 1 year Hadoop experience

 • 1 year experience with Pentaho

 • Configuration management discipline.

 • Development experience meeting rigorous interface specification and performance requirements.

 • Experience with developer tools to support all activities including but not limited to: IDEs, automated test tools, design tools. automated deployment utilities, and configuration management environments.

 • XML, XSLT, XML Schema and JSON expertise.

 • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services development experience (REST and/or SOAP) including frameworks and ESB.

Desired skills:

 • Experience with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.

 • Experience with ActiveMQ, Camel, Spring, NoSQL

 • Experience with Cloud computing platforms and technologies (ex: AWS; EC2, Route53, S3)

 • MPP architecture experience

 • Master data management experience

 • Large Scale data experience

 • Experience development in customer information security environment including ICSA training, completion and administrative account access.

 • Four year college degree in a scientific or technical field, Masters or higher desired.

You must have a current and active TS/SCI w CI or FS Poly security clearance for this position.
