Our client is a 5* Boutique Resort with 20+ Villas and 4 F&B Outlets.
This is a very interesting and rewarding role, however definitely a challenging operation in a challenging location.
Our client is looking for a Chef who is creative and resourceful, who will design new menus and look at current food trends / concepts.
We are not necessarily looking for a current #1, a young and talented current #2 or even #3 ready to become a #1 Executive Chef will also be considered.
Note that this will be a 5-day working week and during the 2-off days, it will be very easy to come over to Bali for a short R&R if wanted!
For this position, both Expats and Indonesian Nationals are being considered.
• Experience in small boutique hotel operations and/or free standing restaurants
• Previous experience in Asia Pacific for Expat, for Local overseas experience is highly preferred
• Good understanding of latest culinary concepts in a broad range of cuisines
• Background and knowledge of all Kitchen operations and procedures
• Able to co-ordinate the day to day kitchen operations
• Great cooking techniques, innovative, creative
• Hands-on chef in terms of cooking, menu engineering, cost management, supplier relations and staff training
• Good team leader, good in training the staff
• Creative in creating menus and flexible who will be providing a high standard of food quality and personalize service
• Experience with HACCP Standard
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with great eye for detail
• Strong in food cost and stock control
• Energetic, motivated
• Excellent communication skills
• Good command of English spoken and written
• Computer literate
The salary range for Indonesian Nationals is IDR 30,000,000 - IDR 35,000,000.
