We are seeking established and motivated Business Developers (BD) for our Federal professional services areas based out of our Fairfax, Virginia headquarters to continue our growth. The YRCI sales team is a high performing, relationship sales organization with individual sales goals exceeding $30M/year in Contract Value. The YRCI BD team sells as a team, without fences and barriers. 

The successful applicant will be accountable for developing a robust qualified pipeline, leading to short-term success and long-term value. The selected candidate will work closely with our Program Management and Recruiting Teams in qualifying and capturing new business, while building strong customer relationships. The Role

  • Develop and build qualified professional services pipeline that leads to closed deals and revenue gains for YRCI.
  • Develop and expand client relationships with existing and new clients in coordination with YRCI PMO, SMEs.
  • Drive expansion of qualified pipeline of opportunities for YRCI services with emphasis Human Capital, Acquisition Management, Grants/Financial Management Services.
  • Work closely with recruitment staff to define clear requirements to meet competitive and client expectations.
  • Support competitor analysis and establishment of price to win and capture strategies.
  • Manage multiple client relationships from identification through capture and award.
  • YRCI Business Development compensation plans reward production and positive sales through incentives on corporate growth, team success and individual sales. Our BD team is supported by a Senior Manager for Strategic Alliances.

What You Need to Bring to the Table

  • Demonstrated leadership and 10 to 15 years of success closing multi-million dollar deals in professional services. This is an absolute requirement.
  • A vibrant and active network of contacts to include professional organization affiliations.
  • Market awareness and ability to discuss opportunities as early as the interview phase.
  • A keen focus on pipeline development with an understanding of proper pipeline to achieve sales goals.
  • Critical analysis and reasoning skills with emphasis on deal qualification and positioning.
  • Capture and closure oriented approach to developing and winning deals.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influence skills.
  • Collaborative style working across company, customer and partner organizations.
  • Record of personal ownership in delivering challenging results.

Desired:

  • College Degree preferred (proven success in professional services sales trumps education).
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations and contracting process, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, and DoD civilian personnel management.
  • Prior experience within YRCI’s market.
  • Confidence in skill and market knowledge to be highly leveraged on incentives.
