Role Definition:

  • Designing and implementing our NFV orchestration strategies to deploy our carrier grade Linux based products into virtualized/cloud platforms such as OpenStack
  • Working in a highly collaborative Agile Scrum team with Designers, Product Verification Specialists and Documentation personnel
  • Providing high-level system designs, detailed design specifications, implementation and estimation
  • Working with other teams such as Product Owners, Professional Services and Support within the local office and across the globe with other Amdocs sites

Critical Experiences and skills:

  • Experience with deploying and managing Virtual Machines on virtualization/cloud platforms eg. OpenStack, oVirt, VMWare
  • Experience with Hypervisors such as KVM, ESX
  • Experience in developing and/or deploying Linux based large-scale, high throughput, fault-tolerance distributed systems
  • Experience with IP Networking, switching, VLAN, etc.
  • 2-3+ years experience in Java design and development
  • Experience with scripting eg.: TCL, Expect, Perl, Ruby
  • Experience with Web services eg.: SOAP, REST, XML, JSON
  • Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL DBs


  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Knowledge of DIAMETER protocol for telecom applications such as DRA, PCRF, HSS
  • Experience in GSM/UMTS, LTE and/or IMS telecommunication networks
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
