Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the expansion and sustainment of Precision Components quality culture throughout the entire value chain.
- Ensure the division’s and vendor’s quality system consistently meets or exceeds customer regulatory requirements, TS-16949, special processes and other automotive customer specific requirements.
- Initiate, implement, maintain and enhance proactive quality improvement activities to continuously improve manufacturing quality.
- Maintain strong communication with customers, internal management team and vendors to ensure quality level is meeting expectations.
- Manage the divisional cost of quality and optimize return on investment.
- Monitor and analyze process/product outputs, identify systematic problems and opportunities. Provide data to support divisional changes and drive continuous process improvement.
- Manage performance of direct reports.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment required. Solid understanding of Control Charts, Gage R&R, DOE, FMEA, process capability and statistics.
- Lead Internal Auditor for the TS-16949 Quality System preferred.
- Ability to access and understand the major automotive websites to handle customer corrective actions.
- Effective at leading/facilitating change leader; balances consistency with flexibility and willing to change ideas in the face of new information. Proven track record of promoting and fostering positive employee relations.
- Demonstrated successful project management skills and ability to contribute to strategic decision making processes.
- Team leadership skills with ability to effectively influence and motivate others. Lead by example.
- Proven success interacting with customers, peers, senior management and other functional areas to assure the best quality systems are in place and being adhered to.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical field or related business field required. Advanced degree preferred.
