TITLE: SLP
SUMMARY OF POSITION: To provide speech-language pathology services in
accordance with policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Essential Functions (But not limited to)
- Provide evaluation and treatment of cognitive, communication and swallowing disorders in accordance with physician orders.
- Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy.
- Compliance with federal and state regulations, professional guidelines and code of ethics for the profession of speech language pathology and provision of speech language pathology services.
Essential Qualifications (But not limited to)
- Graduate of an accredited master’s level speech-language pathology program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence or completing post-graduate clinical experience (clinical fellowship year) is required.
- State credentialing/licensure as required.
- Synthesis of knowledge related to anatomy, physiology, and pathology for effective evaluation and treatment of swallowing, communication and cognitive disorders.
- Sound clinical judgment relating to the provision of speech language pathology services.
- Collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary team in delivery of patient care to maximize functional outcomes.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations and professional guidelines as relates to delivery of speech-language pathology services.
