Job Description

Barnes Distribution North America seeks a self-driven, high energy business partner to serve as Compensation & Benefits Manager for its domestic Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) distribution business.  This will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a compensation professional with strong leadership and technical skills to design, implement and maintain sales compensation plans and programs. Core Responsibilities: 

·         Proactively analyze, design, recommend, and manage the sales compensation, incentive, promotional and bonus plans in alignment with business objectives and to drive performance.

·         Partner with sales leadership, BDNA senior leadership, and corporate directors to provide direction and management of sales compensation, HRIS and benefits systems.

·         Comprehensive analysis, planning, market pricing and budget control to support all compensation programs.

·         Interfaces with leadership ensuring compensation activities are consistent with strategic and tactical business requirements.

·         Ensures that compensation programs and procedures are consistent with marketplace, internal organizational requirements and deliver desired result of increasing sales and realizing profitability.

·         Openly communicates and effectively works with the Director of Global Compensation & Executive Benefits from a strategy standpoint to drive a pay for performance philosophy. 

·         Recommend appropriate salary actions based upon results of market comparisons, job pricing and wage/salary surveys.

·         Formulates recommendations related to new-hire compensation and compensation treatment for internal transfers and promotions.

·         Effective management of salary planning system which allows senior leadership and staff to review relevant data, including merit increase guidelines and merit promotional and adjustment budgets.

·         Manage all benefit administration activities within the scope of the position, including: medical/dental plans, pension plans, C.O.B.R.A., Retirement Savings Plans, profit sharing, short-term and long-term disability, FMLA and Worker’s Compensation.

·         Collaborates with Corporate Benefits to improve the administration of BDNA benefits focusing on service and the employee experience.  

·         Manage UltiPro (HRIS) activities and serve as the primary interface with the corporate Manager, HRIS. 

 

Qualifications: 

·         Minimum of seven to ten years of professional experience in the areas of sales compensation, sales bonus plans sales incentive programs and general benefit administration. 

·         Sensitivity to environmental and business issues with a keen understanding of the implications of compensation & benefits as they relate to the total employee relations system.

·         Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with business partners and colleagues to achieve goals.

·         Strong understanding of sales process and sales incentive drivers. Individual must work well  in teams and be able to recommend and implement process improvements

·         Impeccable integrity; excellent analytical skills to encompass problem identification, evaluation and solution. 

·         Strong mathematical aptitude and excellent communications skills are required. 

 

Education Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business/Finance required.  MBA or advanced degree preferred. CCP certification preferred
