Function Summary:
- Interact and talk with professional truck drivers and other IdleAire customers on the truck stop parking lot for the purpose of selling IdleAire services.
- Train new members to use IdleAire services.
- Provide excellent customer service consistent with the IdleAire expectations.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Sell and/or provide IdleAire products and services to professional truck drivers and other customers.
- Cut window adapters to appropriate template size.
- Sign-up and train new members on IdleAire services.
- Assist customers with the installation of window adapters and the IdleAire Service Module.
- Provide courteous and expedient customer service.
- Assist with or report all Service Module issues to Customer Support.
- Clean IdleAire Service Modules and related equipment daily.
- Responsible for company assets during the shift including securing IdleAire buildings and equipment.
- Stay up to date on the most current IdleAire products and services offered.
- Perform all assigned job duties in compliance with IdleAire and OSHA safety regulations.
- Maintain inventory and par levels of sales literature and products during the shift.
- Report site issues to the Shift Leader, Site Manager and/or Customer Support in a timely fashion.
- Complete a daily shift checklist and perform end of shift functions including cash reconciliation and inventory counts as required.
- Provide appropriate follow-up to shift issues requiring closure or special attention completing incident and/or accident reports as needed.
- Keep the equipment center and IdleAire spaces clean and free of debris to present a positive image to customers.
- Work in a cooperative, team oriented manner with all IdleAire Team Members and train other Site Representatives as needed.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all travel center personnel.
- Consistently exhibit conduct representative of IdleAire policies and procedures.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Site Manager and/or Shift Leader.
Working Conditions:
· The position requires working outdoors days, evenings, nights, and weekends, lifting 30lbs overhead, and walking and/or standing on the truck stop parking lot during the majority of the shift.
· The position requires multi tasking with changing levels of intensity.
· The position requires working in a noisy environment with varying degrees of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
· The position requires the ability to work flexible schedules.
· The position may require the team member to work alone.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Prior sales and service experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in the trucking industry a plus.
