IM or FP / Geriatrics needed for a 60 mile radius for Hospice care. • Would like to have someone already certified in hospice/palliative care • Medical Director must be hands on, as well as administrative in nature • Must be non-confrontational • Needs to have a vision, good with strategic planning. • This position works very closely with the Family Practice physicians (main referrals), they are the key referral sources • 6 counties in Iowa, 5 in Nebraska, 2 in South Dakota. • Average daily hospice census is 220 patients • This person will take call 50% of the time, almost all calls can be handled over the phone since this person would be speaking with a nurse mgr. • Compensation is 180-220K, depending on experience. • Great benefits.
