Our client is the world leader in dental technology and an emerging medical device company. They are pioneers in using ceramics and polymers to create advanced dental materials.  They invest heavily in materials science, dental implantology, subtractive and additive manufacturing, CAD/CAM, software, and optical scanning technologies to satisfy the demands of their rapidly expanding global market.

They have retained us to find a Ceramic Engineer for their Manufacturing department.  The ideal candidate will be an innovative, entrepreneurial materials scientist or engineer who wants to play a key role in developing and improving the processes used to create advanced dental materials and products.

• Design and develop new process systems, revise existing processes, and coordinate implementation
• Use statistical tools and data-based analysis for quality control and improvement
• Identify safety and cost issues and develop effective solutions
• Coordinate and run trials to evaluate equipment and process performance
• Establish manufacturing methods, practices, and documentation
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders; assist with change management
• Work effectively across disciplines

• BS, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
• 5-8 years’ manufacturing experience, preferably with advanced ceramic materials
• 3+ years' process improvement experience
• Experience in statistical process control (SPC); knowledge of Six Sigma (DMAIC) methods
• Experience in identifying and removing causes of variation
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas and graphing
• Experience in thermal modeling of high-temperature furnace operations is a plus
