Atlanta Preparatory Academy is a new K-5 charter school for students residing within the Atlanta Public School district.  Atlanta Preparatory Academy offers a college preparatory experience to all students at no cost. 

The core curriculum includes, Paragon©, Spanish, Open Court Reading, SRA Math and Harcourt Brace Science.

We are looking for a full or part time School Nurse/LPN. 

Position Summary: To provide the school community, parents, student and teachers with an exemplary, ongoing professional health program.  To provide services which contribute and respond to the individual needs of students and their parents by: arranging for initial health assessments/screenings; participating on IEP team as appropriate when concerns are related to health issues; monitoring health interventions; serve as liaison with school staff and outside resources; and maintaining consistency and continuity in the school’s response procedures.

Required Education/Skills:  Nursing Degree with valid state certification and demonstrated competence as a school-based nurse or meet the certification requirements as outlined by State law.  Must demonstrate mastery of all areas of health care responsibility and be computer literate. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of local, regional, State and Federal resources that support families, students and school institutions.
