Our flagship product, PCRecruiter Web, is a web-browser based system which can be hosted on your own in-house servers, or can be hosted by Main Sequence Technologies, Inc. on a monthly-fee basis.

- Apple Safari (PCRecruiter Web is supported for Safari 3.2.1 and MAC OS 10.5 - will need to install the Java Runtime Environment)
- Other configurations may operate effectively but vary in functionality and support from the configurations listed above.
- Some features may require Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or similar external editors. Please contact Main Sequence for a demonstration of PCRecruiter on your own equipment to verify functionality.
SELF-HOSTING SERVER REQUIREMENTS:
If you intend to self-host your PCRecruiter application, the following are the suggested minimum specifications for PCRecruiter hardware. Increases in CPU, RAM, Storage Subsystems and RDBMS (relational database management system) configuration
will enhance the performance of the software. It is not uncommon for the MS SQL Server and the IIS Web Server to be running on the same hardware.
Database Server:
- PIII 500 or equivalent processor - 1.5gHz or above is preferred. Intel or AMD CPU.
- 128 MB RAM min. 256 MB or higher is recommended.
- Windows 2000 or 2003 operating system
- Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or above
- 1 GB minimum storage, allocation of approximately 1 GB per 15,000 resume/candidate/job records.*
- Surplus storage capacity to the satisfaction of system DBA for backups, DB operations, etc.
*Storage density per unit of application usage varies by industry and system use. MS Word resumes average 30K in size, but may be larger or smaller depending on content.
PCRecruiter Web Client Server:
- Windows Internet Information Services (IIS) – included with Windows 2000/2003 operating systems.
- Minimum web server performance varies greatly: Main Sequence Technologies, Inc. does not establish a minimum specification for web servers. Typically, any recent computer capable of starting and running the IIS service will perform well for up to 50 named end users and several hundred hiring managers and associated candidates.
Networking:
- End users need to be able to resolve the web-server via domain name.
- The Web Server requires an SQL Server authentication.
- Security and configuration of HTTP / HTTPS is similar to other CGI applications.
- The application includes internal whitelist capability by IP or IP octet.
- Allocation of approximately 7K nominal / 56k rated bandwidth per active user.
Database Administrator:
- Main Sequence Technologies, Inc. can provide services on a billable basis
- Typical DBA time requirements are 12 to 20 hours per year for approx. 5 database devices (files) of 1 to 20 GB size per SQL Server.
- No unusual aspects to DBA requirements to operate PCRecruiter
- ERD and canned SQL files are available upon request.
- Resumes, attachments, etc. are maintained within database device.
