The PCRecruiter search feature has
been completely receded to reflect optimization that evolved from
work on a very large MRI database.
The searching is now 350 percent faster and asynchronous, meaning
that hits start coming back at once, and you can browse as they are
still coming in.
The name search screen is completely new.
You can no longer search by status. All names will come back, but
if a name is a non-candidate, it will have a red circle with a slash
as an icon. You can do a partial or full match, and unlike before,
you can stop a search in the middle by clicking the stop button.
The Run button replaces the OK button to run the search.
The filter tab allows a one variable field search mixed in with the
text.
On the advanced tab, you can now call the find box directly and enter
your query. This is for multiple variable searches. When a filter
is in effect, a dialog box will appear. Previously, the title box
showed filters in effect. This feature is useful for geography and
salary limits on a text search, among other possibilities.
The Tips button is a quick reminder of the syntax rules.
The saved button has changed as well. Now, saved searches are saved
in an outside folder. You can also save them in word, excel, or wherever
else you would like. If you have saved searches currently, contact
us to resave them in the new format.
Returns are now added to the rollup list from the name search screen
rather than the search tab. There is a hot button in the name search
for that function.
All of these changes also apply to the company search screen. Any
questions?
