This update has four changes.
The first is on the sendout. When you make a sendout, a notation goes
into the job order, name, and company record. In the past, you could
not add information to the sendout notation. Now you may by entering
the text you want in the notation in the sendout form. On the sendout
itself, there is a notes tab; text in that tab will copy to the activities
of names, companies, and jobs. You can use the feature to note a first
interview, phone screen, etc. This will help keep better project records
on the jobs and better candidate logs for future business.
The second new feature is a bulk resume import. If you get a folder
full of resumes sent down from your web page or from your scanner,
or by any other means, you can bring them into PCR en masse. The program
will create the record with the name, and place the resume in and
index it. The files need to be .rtf or .txt files, and they need to
be named in the correct format.
The format is Firstname_Lastname. ( i.e Bugs_Bunny, Daffy_Duck, William_Smith,
James_Kirk.)
To access this feature, click on system tab and import/export. Then
click import resumes. Be certain that the folder you want is really
just what you want, or practice on a blank database until you are
happy with the results.
You don't want to blast a bunch of junk into your production database.
The third feature is a simple one; you can now create a new roll up
list from the text search screens. Just right click on the hot button,
and you get the list of lists.
The fourth is also simple; on the user permissions, (name reports,
position reports, company reports) you can now select to allow just
the printing of the current name, company, or job. Before it was all
the reports or none; now you also have the option of just one at a
time. Keep the good ideas flowing, and enjoy a backup today!
