Resumes longer than 64k can be stored
in database and indexed. In the past, any resume larger than 64K would
error out. The Indexer.exe was recompiled to allow greater than 64k
documents to be indexed.
The Identification field has been added to the name list grid and
name list filter. It also has a "on the fly" dropdown
now. Many people opt to use this field for a working title or basic
area
There is now a global change converting any custom field to a keyword
record- allows freeform search of any custom field data. The Father's
Day bug is fixed. (on new databases only) The custom fields are
now 32 spaces long on the company import.
Improved rollup speed when adding records to rollup lists names/companies.
Changed max selected items on view activities screen to 20000 from
1000.
Now when a sendout is made, the activity is written to all contacts
on job order you must set a preference in user records if you want
this function. In addition, you can now designate a primary contact
on a job by using the contact name on the JO screen itself, and
all the other contacts on the job will be in the "contacts"
folder. PCR will now write an activity when emailing single resume.
An e email preloader is now invoked when an e mail icon is clicked
to record email subject and recipient address. This provides the
data needed to write an activity record.
The main buttons throughout the program have been replaced with
new graphics. This provides a new look to the program..in the eye
of the beholder !
The search engine filters now include multiple fields in a search.
The PCRecruiter help has been totally reworked. There are few hundred
screen shots of all the current screens and updated descriptions
of every function. The new help is shipping with new installs and
is available for download.
The support database on the site is up and running and there are
already many good questions and replies in it.
In general news, we are advertising on Yahoo! and our banner can
be seen if you type "recruiting software" or "staffing
software" into the search box.
PCRecruiter had a record second quarter and sales look solid for
a record third quarter as well. We are working on some new goodies,
especially in the thin client, and we have added staff for sales
training and technology. Main Sequence develops trainers to be salespeople
as well, since the process is very similar.
As always, back it up or weep bitter tears! If you are not exactly
and completely sure about every aspect of backing up and restoring
your data, you need to get clear or be sure that the people who
you are counting on are clear. Main Sequence Technologies is NOT
the entity you should be counting
on for this function.
We are always ready to assist and explain the best methods to backup,
but its finally up to each owner to make sure it is getting done..don't
be a poster child for data loss. It's about as easy as it can be
with PCR, but it's more difficult than wishful thinking.
