Its that time again; PCRecruiter update
time that is..
Main Sequence has completed production of our Computer Based Training
production. Using Macromedia Director, we have produced a training
movie over two hours long that covers all aspects of the Windows
version of PCRecruiter. The narration is led by animation, screen
views, and additional graphics to give your users a first class
training experience.
You may obtain a CD with all of the latest PCRecruiter software
and the training production if you fill out the form below and mail
it with a check for media and shipping. You should find it to be
a great addition to your PCRecruiter software. The CD will replace
any PCR CD's you have now.
There is a new function that allows you to e mail a job order or
a set of orders in an attractive HTML format. Click the email button
on a JO, and you will be able to add comments as well. The data
that is sent is configured via your Thin client Job Order settings.
If you are not running the thin client you will have the default
data set on the HTML Jobs.
PCRecruiter now offers users the choice of a simple numbering scheme
for jobs and names. You can select the option from the user record
preference page. You may also seed your number system with a starting
number and select a prefix for the JO number if you wish. Enter
the prefix for each user (or branch, etc.) in the replication number
field of a user record. This should simplify back office integration
for many of you and has been a popular request.
Also on the user record, you now may save security groups so that
you may apply a set of permissions and preferences to user names
when you need to create or modify multiple user records. There was
a edit/copy function for this, but the new method allows the profiles
to be saved and reopened. Another popular request from larger firms.
An activity is now written to a name record when a resume is added
or edited. This gives a tracking function to separate the dates
of a name entry and a resume entry/add.
There is a new status for name records, that of Developed. This
indicates names that you have more data on, or people who you have
interviewed, or otherwise denotes a name that is more than a raw
contact. This can be very handy when, for example, looking at a
firm's list of names to see whom you may have already qualified
or be working with.
There is now an import routine for job orders. If you have old
JO's in a data format or are converting data to PCR, this should
be a valuable addition. There is also now a tab on the System Tab/Options
that allows you to add an auto signature to your e mail if your
AutoSignature is not being supported by the MAPI function in PCR.
This applies to some e mail systems, but not all. If your Auto Signature
is not working, this option should fix you up. Sorry, but stationary
is still not possible; that's an advanced function of your email
client.
There are now global scripts. This is very useful if you use mostly
the same calling scripts on companies or names. We will be renaming
this section "attachments" to match the nomenclature in
the thin client.
As always and ever, if you are not backing up, or you might be
but you aren't 1000 percent sure how to restore, than you are in
a state of denial. That's not the best state to be in and you can
seek asylum in the state of preparedness; a much more scenic place
where people are happy and the sun shines all the time.
