NEW FEATURES/FIXES
FOR 724
NEW RESUME SYSTEM OPTION
Under SYSTEM->RECRUITERS/USERS->USER PREFERENCES there is now
an option you can turn on to bring in Resumes in HTML format instead
of RTF format. This means that the DEFAULT format has been moved back
to RTF, unless you go in and set this option. This means that you
can selectively choose who you want to use RTF resumes, and who you
want to use HTML resumes. HTML is the way to go, however, some people
prefer RTF because they are used to it.
NEW FEATURES/FIXES FOR 725
SUMMARY ON INTERNET CHECKBOX
Under NAMES->NOTES->SUMMARY there is a new checkbox that directly
correlates
with the GROUP dropdown for putting a candidate's summary on the
internet. It's just a more convenient place to put it.
ODD SPACES
We found some databases that had a different kind of SPACE (yes, the
thing you put between words) that was causing problems for routines
that depended on spaces. For example, when you split the first/last
name out from a field, it could not find the space between the first
and last name because the space was nonstandard. This has now been
fixed.
NEW FEATURES/FIXES FOR 726
MULTIPLE COMPANY/CANDIDATE NOTES
You can now open many candidate and company notes simultaneously
for editing. If you switch between one candidate or another, it
will alert you with a message telling you which candidate that you
are editing. This has been done for people who type notes into the
wrong window because they were not paying attention to where they
were typing. Since making the notes window locked so you could not
do anything else until you closed the notes window was unacceptable
for some of our clients, we have made this change.
HTML RESUME PASTE FIX
The pasting of RAW HTML SOURCE CODE now works as it should.
NEW CANDIDATE INDUSTRY/SPECIALTY FIX
When creating candidates, if you have your option set to grab his
Industry and Specialty fields from his associated company, it will
now attempt to pull from the Industry and Specialty fields located
in COMPANIES->NOTES->KEYWORDS. If those fields are blank,
it will pull this information from the PRIMARY INDUSTRY field on
the COMPANIES tab.
NEW FEATURES/FIXES FOR 728
ROLLUP LIST RESUME GROUPING ISSUE
If you did a resume grouping and had HTML documents in the mix,
it would not put them together correctly. Now it will group RTF
and HTML resumes into a Word document mixed together.
CANDIDATE KEYWORDS DELETION ISSUE
If you try and delete all the Candidate keywords, they wouldn't
save. This is now fixed.
COMPANY->LETTER HTML ISSUE
You can now paste HTML into the Company->Letter form. It previously
wouldn't save.
POSITION CONTACT LIST ADDITION
If you click on Names->Handshake, you will notice a new tab at
the top labeled Position Contacts. This will list every Position that
this person is a contact for.
NAMES->NOTES->TRANSACTIONS TAB SECURITY
ADDITION
This tab was previously only accessible by the PCRecruiter Administrator.
The 'Commissions' permission has now been extended to read 'Commissions/Transactions'.
If you have access to Candidate Commissions, you also have access
to Candidate Transactions now as well.
READY ONLY PERMISSIONS ISSUE
If the permission 'Commissions/Transactions' was marked for READ
ONLY, user were still allowed to edit. This has now been fixed so
items can only be viewed.
PLACEMENT ACTIVITY ISSUE
When you would mark a candidate as being 'PLACED' in a Position,
it would write a Candidate Activity, a Position Activity, and TWO
Company Activities. This has been fixed. It now writes a Candidate
Activity, a Position Activity, a Company Activity for the new company,
and a Company Activity for the Candidate's previous Company association
if different than the new Company he is being placed in.
POSITION FORM ENHANCEMENT
The Position Form has been slightly rearranged to allow you to switch
between jobs without having to click back on the ORDER tab every
time.
NAME ACTIVITIES EDIT ENHANCEMENT
The Name->Activities form will now ask you if you want to save
your changes if you edit an activity and click off of it without
saving first.
NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 729
DATABASE SIZABLE FIELDS ENHANCEMENT
PCRecruiter now allows you to resize certain fields in the Candidates
and Companies table in the database. So far, the fields encompass
First Name, Last Name, Company Name, Address1, Address2, City, State,
and Zipcode. These entry fields in PCRecruiter will automatically
change the maximum number of characters you can type in them, even
if you change databases without closing first.
BULK EMAIL ENGINE NOT STOPPING ISSUE
If you closed the bulk email screen using the X in the upper right
corner of the window instead of clicking the CLOSE button, the bulk
emailer would continue to try and send ... well, we're not sure what
it would continue to try and send, but it would continue to try. This
is fixed.
POSITION LISTING INCORRECT COMPANY
If you have one company selected on the NAMES tab and another company
listed on the COMPANIES tab, the job order would display the company
name from the NAMES tab, but save the job order to the company listed
on the COMPANIES tab. This is now fixed.
NAME REINDEXING STARTING AT RECORD x ISSUE
Under SYSTEM->IMPORT/EXPORT->IMPORT NAMES->REINDEX NAMES,
it would ask you what record you wanted to start indexing from.
However, it would always start at the first record. It will now
start at the correct record. In addition, it lists how many records
are there to be indexed, so you don't try and put in a starting
number higher than the maximum number of records.
NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 730
LETTER EMAIL FORM NOT CLOSING ISSUE
It seems that the issue fixed in 729 was causing the email form
to not be able to close properly. This is now fixed
NEW POSITION STATUS TYPES
There are 2 new job order status types now to match with the thin
client. In addition to Available, Filled, and No Longer Available,
there is now Pending and Internal.
