NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 737

ROLLUP LIST COPY ENHANCEMENTS

Now that we can resize some fields in the database, when moving candidates/companies/positions from a rollup list in one database to a different database, it could potentially chop data if moving from larger to smaller sized fields between the 2 databases.

This is now set so data will gracefully truncate if need be. Also, you can now copy rollup list associations between databases.

This means if you select a rollup list called "FRED" from one database and copy it to a 2nd database, and choose to keep the rollup association, the rollup list "FRED" will be created in the 2nd database.

RESIZABLE CUSTOM FIELDS

Custom fields and profile fields can now be physically resized in the database.

COMPANY ADDR FIX

The close/save buttons on the company ADDR form have been modified to make more sense. No functionality has been changed on this form, just how the close buttons look in company mode.

NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 736

IMPORTING RESUMES TO MATCH EXISTING LAST_FIRST_PHONE NUMBER

Two buttons have re-appeared under the SYSTEM->Import/Export->Resumes to
import filenames named either Firstname_Lastname or Firstname_Lastname_Phonenumber to EXISTING name records. This feature imports these resumes using the MSWord formatting type if possible.

DOCUMENT CONVERSION IMPROVEMENTS

Some RTF resumes were consuming more size than their original Word format versions. This has been corrected.

DUPLICATE MERGE ENHANCEMENT

Under REPORTS->AUDITING there is now a very powerful tool that will allow you to merge duplicate companies and names. When you list duplicates, there is now a menu item added that will bring up the merge screen. This screen shows you information on the duplicate names/companies where you can choose which names/companies to merge and which one to use as the "master" copy in which everything merges to. All activities, notes, keywords, etc... will merge into the master name/company chosen. This is another big request from owners.

DATABASE SWITCHING RESOLVED

There was an issue with some systems when switching between one database
and another. The older connection should now be cut before switching to the new one.

NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 735

WORDING OF ITEMS TO PLEASE A WIDER CUSTOMER BASE

We are gearing all of the text in PCRecruiter to reflect "Positions" instead of "Job Orders" and "Interviews" instead of "Sendouts".

NEW PREFERENCE IN SYSTEM->USERS->PREFERENCES

There is a new preference that when turned on will suppress resume activities being written. This keeps activity count under control for users who do a lot of resume editing.

VIEW ACTIVITIES IMPROVED
The view activities screen will now list position activities. Also, only admins have permission to change actual activity dates.

NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 734

EMAIL MANAGER IMPROVED

The email manager should work correctly now for importing email and creating the appropriate directory for attachments. There were a few cases where if two people imported the exact same email (like an internal mailing list), it would only allow the first one to import. The 2nd person who imported that email would be considered a duplicate and would not be imported. This has now been corrected.

When deleting emails with attachments, the attachments now are deleted correctly. If you are an administrator, it now defaults to showing you only your own mail. If you want to view all mail, there is now a checkbox to do so.

SYSTEM->IMPORT/EXPORT->RESUMES->IMPORT RESUMES USING ID

If you import resumes to existing users using the identification field, it will now use the new MS WORD format for importing.

MS WORD AND INTERNET EXPLORER CORRECTION

Previously, if you had anything but IE 5.x, PCRecruiter would not let you use MS WORD to view resumes. Now, you can use 5.x or higher (i.e. version 6.0)

NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 733

PRINT/EMAIL RESUME WITH CUSTOM HEADER OPTION CORRECTIONS

Corrected a rare program-crashing scenario with converting resumes where the header was in a different format.

SET HTML CUSTOM HEADER ISSUE

Some versions of IE were not bringing up the custom HTML header correctly. This is now fixed. Also, when you have a resume stored as HTML, it now says "CUSTOM HTML HEADER" for clarity, even if you set an RTF header.

ADDR ADDRESS RECOGNITION IMPROVED

The ADDR tool's ability to handle address info has been improved.

FORMAT WIZARD LOOK

The format wizard form now has a look more like the rest of PCRecruiter.

BACKGROUND INDEXING IMPROVED

The indexing is now centralized off the main form to reduce wait time before returning to the main form after entering a resume.

NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 732

ROLLUP LIST SALARY ADDITION

Name Lists now show current and desired salary. Position Lists now show desired and upper salary.

RESUME WORD FORMAT SAVE ISSUE

When saving a resume while in WORD format, the next time you would enter the resume screen and view a resume as HTML, it would sometimes come up with a "File In Use" error. This is now fixed.

NEW ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES FOR 731

INSERT NAME ON FORM LETTER IMPROVED

When doing an EDIT->INSERT NAME on a form letter, PCRecruiter would squish the date and the name/address without a linefeed in between them. There is now a linefeed after the date.

ROLLUP LIST EXPORT IMPROVED

PCRecruiter now makes sure that you have a rollup list selected before you can export to Outlook or to a Text File in the rollup list screen.

NEW POSITION STATUS TYPES

The new "Internal" or "Pending" position types have been added as options where they had been absent.

ADDR ADDS NEW INTERNATIONAL RECORDS

If you have an Access database (as opposed to SQL) and you had "International Phone Numbers" checked on in your preferences, and you have a blank phone number being imported, PCRecruiter will now add the new Candidate record in the
database correctly.

ADDR REWORK

You can now view documents using the MS WORD control. When importing, you can use either the RTF or WORD control. If you do not have WORD installed, you can still import documents without losing their formatting like the old classic RTF control used to do. This is done using stand alone converters (do not require WORD). You can also import using HTML in the ADDR, which will convert and store the documents in HTML right then and there, instead of using extended RTF (WORD) format. Also, the ADDR now has improved functionality in finding address/city/state.

RESUME REWORK

The resume screen will now allow you to switch how you are viewing the Resume ON THE FLY!! Meaning, if you have a resume stored as HTML, you can view it with WORD or the RTF Control, without changing the original format. The EMAIL and PRINT/FAX buttons now bring up a formatting wizard where you choose how the document will be sent. If you change the viewed format and the resume is unlocked for editing, it will give you the option to save, but warn you that you could lose formatting in the resume. You can now "Save As" resumes out in the format that you are currently viewing them in. You can also remove a "Set Word Document" in a resume.

RESUME COMPRESSION

We are now compressing resumes in the database which should make them take up about one third less space. Keep in mind that once you have saved a resume in 731 or higher, you cannot pull it up with earlier versions of PCRecruiter!

BULK EMAIL CONFLICTS HANDLED

Bulk email functionality has been split now and should function while other email functions run simultaneously.

DYNAMIC RESIZING OF FIELDS

More fields in the database have been added in that can be dynamically resized on the main form for both candidates and companies.
