HR Software Growing Among Small Businesses

Small businesses today are relying more and more on the Internet and online resources to do their work. Employers use the Web for everything from recruiting to marketing and promotions.

On the recruiting side, most companies are already using online HR software (Click here) solutions, and those that aren’t are planning to do so sooner rather than later. Overall, the power that Internet-based resources give a small business are making it easier for most to emerge from the economic downturn.

A new report from Easynet Connect found that 79 percent of small businesses think the Internet is making the road to recovery easier this time than during previous recessions.

About 81 percent said they could not go for more than one day without the Internet, while 48 percent of those said they couldn’t go for more than an hour, 29 percent said no longer than 30 minutes, and 14 percent said they couldn’t go without it at all.

The popularity, ease and usefulness of the Internet is causing more small companies to invest in computing systems, which in turn is providing more opportunities for software manufacturers.

Of those surveyed, 38 percent said they’re planning to invest in their IT infrastructure, while 30 percent said they would increase staff training, and 15 percent want to recruit more employees and improve staff retention.

All of these goals bode well for HR software companies, which should have no trouble selling their Internet-based solutions to small businesses that are looking to hire new employees and better manage and maintain existing staff.
