Job Description

Food Operations Manager – Memphis, TN

The Operations Manager has responsibility over all processing, cooking, cleaning, packaging, distribution, warehousing personnel and operations related to each department. Manager will also advise VP of operations of needs and requirements to administer responsibilities.


Responsible for all warehousing, cooking, processing, packaging and sanitation operations in the facility including:

  • Planning and completing daily production schedule
  • Staffing all departments-employees, leads, supervisors
  • Training and developing employees
  • Insure daily, monthly KPI’s are met.
  • Including labor, productivity, food cost and safety KPI’s.
  • Coordinate with QA department to insure all SQF standards and practices are met.
  • Integrating new equipment and technologies into the facility
  • Developing systems to improve plant processes.
  • Planning for future growth of facility.
  • Opening and closing facility


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business or related areas
  • At least 10 years’ proven experience in a lead operations management role in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • Computer Proficient – Outlook, MS WORD and MS Excel application minimum.
  • Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline oriented environment.
  • Must possess strong leadership and organizational skills
