This position is to provide leadership, strategy and coordination of company marketing functions consistent with business goals. Experience in the Test & Measurement, Calibration or Process Control markets is required. Understanding of the OEM and distribution channel in this industry is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Ø  Create and achieve budgeted revenue and gross margin for the business

Ø  Monitor and meet Marketing expense budgets

Ø  Assure implementation of strategic marketing plans and associated programs for existing and new products, ensuring that the products are marketed in accordance with brand positioning and profit objectives

Ø  Create programs and monitor and analyze sales and marketing activity against programs and goals, building new business and maintaining existing business as well as develop tracking metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.

Ø  Provide strategic planning and execution including market and related product positioning, insight into appropriate distribution channels required to maximize revenue attainment, market research/competitive analysis, go-to-market sales tools, customer segment selection and penetration plans.

Ø  Manage new product launches including product development based on innovation, brand development, market trends, competitive research, customer feedback and research as well as positioning, pricing, POP display, POS collateral & sales support materials.

Ø  Manage and attend tradeshows.

Ø  Manage web site sales, optimization & on-line promotional activities.

Ø  Develop and implement marketing activities to increase awareness and demand for our client’s products leading to increased distribution and brand loyalty.

Ø  Build on existing marketing plans and activities in the following areas: Sampling & Demos; Public Relations; Advertising; Sponsorships; Partnerships; Special Events;  Monthly newsletters; direct mail; giveaways and promotions; Catalog collateral, etc.

Ø  Continuously evaluate and adjust marketing strategies and promotional programs to meet changing market and competitive conditions including analysis of competitive products and market research.

Ø  Proactive communication with the sales team on marketing support in key channels to increase sales activity – act as a communication bridge between sales and marketing.

Ø  15+ years relevant marketing experience & MBA required

Ø  Individual must have experience in the Calibration or Test & Measurement markets. Experience in the process control market is a plus.

Ø  Individual must be able to work in a fast-paced, flexible small company environment.

Ø  Individual must be friendly and well-organized; management level, yet still attains an entrepreneurial hands-on approach.

Ø  Individual must have experience with providing strong leadership, mentoring, coaching and development of staff. Direct reports include: Marketing Development Manager, Manager Product Marketing, Manager Technical Service & Application Engineering and Manager Marketing Communication.
