Job Description

BI Analyst – Memphis, TN - Contract

Contractor

Supports managers and broader growth (sales, marketing, and customer service) team in the goal of growing the business through analytical, data-driven insights. Engages business partners across the company as part of a commitment to a horizontal team environment and accomplish key growth objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engages cross functional peer group to integrate, interpret, analyze and trend data from multiple sources and ensures cleanliness, accuracy and completeness via automated and manual processes
  • Ensures any and all projects being supported have KPIs that are communicated, reported, and tracked.
  • Monitors and reports on KPIs to ensure project health
  • Uses data insights to identify and help resolve bottlenecks within the customer journey that slow or prevent growth and hurt customer experience
  • Works with IT resources to configure company operating systems to align products with pricing and assist with reporting
  • Manages product and customer reporting in Tableau and leads horizontal teams (IT / Finance/ BI) in ensuring data is accurate, integrated, and accessible across the company

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics or other quantitative field required
  • 2-4 years of experience performing data management, analysis and developing actionable data reports preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training may be considered

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of data management and reporting practices including data modeling, database design & development and data mining techniques
  • Skill in collecting, organizing, analyzing and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with SQL Queries and Coding and Tableau Building/Updating Reports required
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Time management skills, including skill in prioritizing, organizing, and performing multiple tasks
  • Written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional settings
  • Skill in managing multiple large data sets across multiple computer systems
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint); advanced skill in Excel
