Job Description

Process Engineer – Memphis, TN

This position will validate all processes, routed through their area of responsibility, and assure optimum fabrication methods occur. This will develop and lead technical projects and effectively implement those projects. This individual is responsible for the initial start-up of production processes and smooth transitions from development to manufacturing. This position will create timelines & manage cross functional teams to implement assigned projects


  • Conduct process capability studies and adjust the process accordingly
  • Assure that processes produce quality products in a timely and economical manner that maintains compliance with government regulations
  • Analyze and conceptualize the tooling or fixture requirements for their area
  • Provide complete, accurate documentation for process validations / engineering reports
  • Investigate or troubleshoot manufacturing problems, develop and implement solutions to these problems
  • Investigate, justify and implement / manage capital requests for their areas
  • Provide technical leadership and support for new process technologies, process improvements, and long-term problem resolution
  • Provide technical leadership and planning for process equipment evaluation (advantages / disadvantages of each for Company application), justification and implementation
  • Assist and coordinate with Manufacturing Engineer on tracking new product introduction through all phases of the process
  • Work with Design Engineers on the ability to produce new products
  • Experience using geometric, dimensioning and tolerances
  • Assist Industrial Engineers on cost analysis for new products and process improvement
  • Evaluate and develop process validation plans and develop strategy to support
  • Write and conduct installation, operational, and performance qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) validation protocol and final reports
  • Write clear and accurate equipment and process procedures for manufacturing employees
  • Train other engineers, technicians, and production operators on the use of equipment / processes developed


  • Ability to handle increasingly complex project requirements with minimal supervision
  • Ability to independently define problems / opportunities and provide documented solutions
  • Ability to process the products through their area of experience utilizing engineering prints or material specifications
  • Good project management skills are required due to multiplicity of priorities and projects being handled at any one time
  • Ability to handle “hands-on” work in evaluation and implementing projects


  • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering or physical science field is required
  • 4 or more years’ experience in a process engineer’s position
  • Must be technically proficient
