Job Description

IT Operations/Infrastructure Manager – Greater Memphis Area

The IT operations manager is an information technology professional in charge of Company’s operational requirements related to information technology. His/her main task is to manage the company's technology environment, security and implement up-to-date solutions across the IT infrastructure. The IT operations manager oversees the company's technical staff, including helpdesk, and works closely with senior management to propose improvements to the business infrastructure and report progress on various projects. They are responsible for making sure that the company's network infrastructure and associated systems run smoothly, perform within agreed targets, and provide a secure platform for the company's business operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all IT systems within the organization, including hardware, software, data and security
  • Project management - Ability to lead project teams to achieve project objectives
  • Assumes familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
  • Analyze computing to support business objectives
  • Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability by identifying and resolving problems, risks, and issues, Coordinate and plan for future requirements.
  • System integration and design: Ability to understand application, network and system capabilities and produce infrastructure designs that meet business requirements.
  • Lead activities to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components
  • Responds to system errors, including during off hour and coordinates response amongst the team
  • Oversee timely delivery of quality technical support (help desk) service to internal and external clients
  • Develop and train operational IT staff
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in the field of computer information systems
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Certifications in project management, networking, and system engineering a plus
  • The ability to analyze business needs and conceive, design, and develop innovative solutions
  • The ability to write detailed and thorough technical requirements
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent understanding of the Microsoft technology stack
  • An extremely detail-oriented work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for creating business cases, budgets, etc.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Extensive experience fostering a team-oriented, collaborative environment
