Senior Sales Manager - Lasers, Photonics

110-120k base 30% bonus at goal

Midwest USA, home based candidates. Rudzinsky Associates client is a European based Laser/Photonics company that is well established and growing. RA's client is committed to growing and developing the US market and seek an accomplished experienced Sr Sales Mgr to lead this growth effort.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Reporting to the US Sales Director, the Senior Sales Manager in the Americas will be responsible for helping build on the established sales success in the Americas. Working in a team of motivated Sales Engineers based in the US and the product management team at the European HQ, the candidate will expand the Americas market, by increasing market share from our competitors, find new application areas for our products and also positioning RA’s client in front of key OEM opportunities in all product lines. Experience in one or more the following applications fields: Spectroscopy, Fluorescence imaging, OCT and Nanomaterials will be a plus.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establishing and maintaining an aggressive sales budget for East Coast US region

  • Frequent customer visits to develop new customers and support existing ones

  • Working as part of a team of sales engineers and ensuring budget goals are met

  • Identifying and expanding sales applications in the East Coast US

  • Organizing market relevant conferences, exhibitions and marketing events in the East Coast where relevant

  • Help identify potential OEM customers for business development

  • Ensuring regional pipeline information in the company CRM is always up to date

Required Skills and Experience

  • Candidate must be a US citizen.

  • Have experience in selling laser based products, especially to the academic and SMB market

  • Able to communicate with customers on a technical level

  • Ability to establish close relationships with key customers

  • Excellent presentation and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work on your own and as a part of a team

  • Able to travel extensively through the Americas region

You will be a self-motivated individual with a flair for contacting, communicating and closing sales with customers. Excellent time management skills, as well as possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills are taken as given

The successful candidate will ideally hold a degree in a technical discipline and preferably also in a mercantile discipline. Preference will be given to candidates that possess relevant experience in sales and marketing of laser technology / photonics / optoelectronics markets.
