Field Service Engineer

  • The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities related to hands-on work with RA’s client’s laser systems, both in the office and in the field at customer sites.
  • Installation of new laser systems at customer sites
  • Field service of existing laser systems
  • Service and repair of laser systems in-house
  • Trip reporting
  • Periodic travel to RA’s client’s headquarters in Munich for training


  • Qualified applicants should have:
  • Degree in scientific discipline (BS/MS/PhD)
  • Significant experience and skill in hands-on work with cw lasers and optical techniques
  • Entrepreneurial, start-up mindset Ability to instill confidence with customers of the quality and operation of our products
  • Desire and confidence to work with all levels from students to Nobel Laureates
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as an outgoing personality and a desire to interact with people
  • Unrestricted right to work in the United States
