Our client is a leading semiconductor device development and manufacturing firm in the US.

Job Description:
Engineer responsible for manufacturing and developing low cost, high bandwidth, long wavelength semiconductor lasers, pin photodiodes, and avalanche photodiodes. This role includes: integration of various processes and development of wafer fabrication flow, documentation of manufacturing process instructions, test and characterization of lasers, photodiodes, data analysis, and establishing correlations between structure, process parameter and device performance.


  • MS or PhD degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical engineering or related field in optoelectronics

  • 0 to 5 years of experience in III-V device (lasers, photodetectors) design, processing, characterization, automated testing

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics,

  • Familiar with silicon photonics and hybrid lasers

  • Grating process and distributed feedback lasers

  • Photonic device characterization and automated testing

  • Working experience in InP fabrication facility is highly desirable

  • Experience with InP, GaAs, semiconductor, III-V, VCSEL, DFB laser, FP laser, e-beam, laser design

  • Strong ability in problem solving

  • Expected to make technical contribution

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent verbal and technical writing skill

  • Must be US citizen or permanent resident

Salary: $85-120k plus bonus
