SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:


Have you run a multifaceted Photonics organization/operation, but never had the formal responsibility and position?  This is that kind of rare, career opportunity.


Rudzinsky Associate’s (RA) client’s Sr Executive is responsible for the overall direction and administration of RA’s multi-million dollar(>10mm) division location operations including: sales, production, engineering, finance and services. The hired candidate is also a member of the executive team of RA’s client’s Scientific and Industrial Laser/Photonics Division a 100% subsidiary of an International corporation providing Laser and Photonics products and solutions for Scientific and Industrial applications and medical laser/photonics products additionally.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To develop and maintain a positive company image and positive relations between the company and key customers, vendors and regulators.

  3. To contribute his vision and expertise to the corporate strategy.

  5. To implement the global policies and strategies our client’s global parent Co.
  6.  

  7. To develop in conjunction with the managers of the company, plans for the growth and development of the company and the expansion or improvement of company facilities.

  9. Monitors and develops the annual budget for approval by Corp. Mgmt.
  10.  

  11. Ensures that company operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  12.  

  13. Develops, monitors, approves and implements policies and procedures appropriate to the operations of the company.
  14.  

  15. Serves as the final authority for employee relations and personnel matters; has ultimate authority for all hire/fire decisions, compensation and disciplinary actions.

  17. Handles negotiations with outside parties on behalf of the company.
  18.  

  19. Oversees all operation areas of the company through supervision of all officers, vice-presidents and managers.
  20.  

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

Directly accountable to a Corp. Sr Vice President for effectively performing duties and responsibilities. Provides reports on all aspects of company performance as requested. Serves as the chairperson of policy and management teams. Directly supervises the Officers, Vice-Presidents and Managers of the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

Similar experience in a high tech manufacturing entity, preferably in the field of photonics and/or medical/optical products. An effective track record in at least one of the product markets where the Corp. operates is needed. An understanding of US GAAP is required.

Advanced degree, ideally an MBA, with at least 10 years of senior management experience; track record of effectively leading and regionally and/or nationally scaling a performance- and outcome-based organization and staff; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth.

Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.

Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.

Travel to Europe required 2-4 times a year.
