This position involves communication regarding technical capabilities and limitations, prioritization of requirements, and schedule demands for custom light, measurement, metrology solutions. This position is a key component in a very dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging engineering environment.
Ideal candidate will have broad experience with optical and light measurement and metrology and engineering applications in as many of the following areas as possible: Thermal Analysis, LEDs, UV/VIS/NIR applications, Remote Sensing, Light Measurement, Integrating Sphere Design, Optical Sensor Calibrations, Optical Systems Design, Optical Laboratory methods, and Laser Power Measurements.
Must be self-motivated, be able to learn quickly, and be able to meet project cost and schedule constraints.
The candidate will also be asked to attend trade shows, conferences, and customer visits, and be able to join/contribute to domestic and international standards committees.
The candidate will need to work within a cross-functional team environment to provide creative and innovative solutions to solve challenging optical problems. Experience with Zemax, TracePro, MATLAB, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation a plus.
Preferred Degrees: BS or MS or Ph.D in Engineering, Optics, Physics
