Medical Device Senior Product Manager

Small, high-growth company. Focused on launch.

A small, high-growth medical device company is building out their commercial organization and has created a new position for a Sr. Product Manager of HCP Marketing. This privately held, dynamic organization has two disruptive products launching over the next two years and is located in the Austin, Texas area.

Their minimally invasive products treat common conditions in the respiratory/ENT space, so the potential market for these products is quite large. The team is small, so career development and growth opportunities are strong as the organization expands.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Senior Product Manager will focus on all aspects of product marketing for the current and future portfolio of products. You’ll plan and execute the launch of a new highly disruptive device in the ENT space in the US for the near term and will develop OUS strategies beyond. The company has commercialized products and is preparing for the US launch of a significant indication that affects millions of patients. This is a broadly defined assignment where you will work with a small team of colleagues in the marketing department; the company culture and size reward people who take initiative, are creative problem solvers and find a way to get things done. Duties include analytics, market segmentation, product positioning, branding and messaging. You will also support the sales organization in training and field-based requests for assistance.

As the position evolves you will be asked to plan and lead more high-profile product launches for products currently in development. The go-to-market strategies will include medical education programming and you will work closely with Key Opinion Leaders in the ENT community to develop them as advocates for new technologies. Other duties include budgeting, market research, forecasting, vendor management, and trade show planning. Their rapidly expanding organization means there are significant opportunities for career development and advancement. Overnight travel is estimated at 25%.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of marketing experience in the Medical Device industry
• Strong strategic and tactical skills, including evidence of successful product launch experience
• Bachelor’s degree or better; MBA or equivalent preferred
• A willingness to work in a small, fast paced environment without the extended teams and resources of a Fortune 500 organization

The position will provide an attractive compensation package and a full range of corporate benefits. It will be based in the Austin, Texas, area and financial assistance will be provided for relocation support.
