Job Description

The Executive Briefing Center Director/VP is a highly visible role responsible for the in-development client’s Executive Briefing Center (EBC), located in Santa Clara, California. This role reports into the EVP Marketing and will be responsible for creating an innovative and engaging customer experience in this new facility that demonstrates client’s High-Tech, High-Touch digital service capabilities. The qualified candidate will be the brand ambassador for the flagship global Technology Innovation Experience Center.

The candidate will be responsible for creating an all new briefing center experience. This role requires strong leadership, an understanding of sales, as well as experiential design experience. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of driving change, experienced in working with leadership, and has managed or refreshed a previous customer experience center. The candidate will collaborate with marketing, sales, operations, and third-party agencies to create a dynamic, engaging customer experience helping to accelerate sales. The individual will be responsible for landing the brand experience and developing trusted relationships with executives, account teams and presenters. The position requires strong analytical, and organizational skills and the ability to work with subject matter experts (SME’s) across the organization to create engaging and targeted tracks to make the EBC an in-demand destination.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Center Curation: based on details of attendees and objective of visits by client executives, investors, industry analysts, internal stakeholders, adapt, create and curate all pertinent content and presentation material as appropriate for the visits.
  • Content Development Support: Partner with the sales, solution engineering, training, operations, global marketing/R&D, and key marketing stakeholders to enhance core tracks that can then be customized based on the customer meeting requirements.
  • Speaker Recruitment & Scheduling: Proactively suggest, secure and schedule executive speakers and SME’s to support the meeting agenda and objectives. Manage a core pool of speakers on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversee all logistical details associated with EBC meetings, including scheduling, room set-up, speaker support catering, and other details to be determined. Manage local tours and dinner reservations for attendees that plan extended stays in the area.
  • Operations: Develop an ongoing measurement system to gauge the effectiveness of the EBC program and identify areas of improvement for the program itself and the facility.
  • Become the primary point of contact for securing customer references from engagements at the EBC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Be self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented
  • Energetic and productive under stressful deadlines.
  • Strong background in events and meeting management
  • Sales support experience with strong understanding of purchasing lifecycle.
  • Experience in content development and speaker management.
  • Detail oriented and an effective communicator.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, account management, client services and executives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Keynote preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal skills and a minimum of 2 years’ experience with executive engagement.
  • Sound reasoning ability with strong problem- solving skills
  • Be self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented
  • Energetic and productive under stressful deadlines.
  • Pass mandatory background checks which may include pre-screenings, drug tests, and credit checks
  • Must be able to produce documentation verifying eligibility to work in the United States

Compensation:

Base is $175K

Annual bonus 20%
